We want everyone to be able to use this website. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Our target

We aim for this website to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, the widely used standard for accessible websites. We treat it as an ongoing commitment: we check new pages and features against it as we build them, and fix problems as we find them.

What we have done

  • Clear structure. Every page is built from real HTML, with one main heading, headings in a logical order, and landmarks for the header, main content and footer, so screen readers can move around easily.
  • Skip link. The first thing you reach with the keyboard is a “Skip to content” link that jumps past the navigation.
  • Keyboard and focus. Links, buttons and form fields can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible outline showing where you are.
  • Readable text. Text and background colors were chosen to meet the AA contrast ratio. Pages use a readable font, and text can be resized in your browser.
  • Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site turns off smooth scrolling and animation.
  • Forms. Every form field has a label. Errors are explained in words next to the field they relate to, not with color alone. The call request and newsletter forms also work if JavaScript is turned off.
  • The Next Moves check. Each question is a group of standard radio buttons with its question as the label, so it works with a keyboard and a screen reader. Using arrow keys selects an answer without jumping ahead, the Back button keeps your answers, and each new step is announced and receives focus.

Known gaps

  • Booking calendar. If you book a call online, the calendar is provided by Cal.com, a third-party service. We have not yet tested it with assistive technology. If you have any trouble with it, email us and we will find a time with you directly.
  • Anti-spam check. Our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to check for bots. It usually runs without you noticing, but if it ever asks you to do something you can’t complete, email us instead.
  • Next Moves needs JavaScript. The Next Moves check runs in your browser and does not work with JavaScript turned off. If that is a problem for you, email us and we will take you through the questions another way.
  • Formal audit. We have not yet had the site audited by an independent accessibility specialist. Until then, this statement reflects our own checks.
